Meet Jamee

I’m so happy that you’re here!

I do this work because I believe that life happens best when we take care of one another, and my goal as a counselor is to care for folks with warmth, acceptance, and authenticity. I genuinely love getting to know clients and consider it an honor to see and hold the messier parts of their stories.

I grew up in rural Texas and spent time in Massachusetts and Vermont before landing in Bend in 2018. I’ve been shaped by my background in outdoor environmental education, guiding, and wilderness therapy. My identities as a queer person, a mother, an outdoor creature, and a creative writer often influence and inform my approach to therapy.

I utilize aspects of restoration therapy, narrative therapy, and feminist theory when working with clients. I am experienced working with a variety of clients and issues, and most often find myself working with people on the brink of transition—teens, folks exploring their sexual and gender identity, people experiencing faith transitions, and new parents.

When I’m not doing this work I most often find myself exploring outside with my three year old, making an absurd amount of soup and bread, gardening, and spending quality time with my community.

I currently accept insurance through all OHP plans, Cigna, Providence, PacificSource, and Aetna. I also accept cash-pay clients and offer a sliding scale—reach out for rates and more information.

I look forward to connecting with you!
